WHAT IS Cancer PEP?
Cancer PEP (Cancer – Patient Empowerment Program) is a comprehensive daily home-based 6-month Empowerment Program offered by an Oncologist and a Psychology Professor Scientist (husband and wife team). For 26 weeks receive a daily email and short PEP video – teaching and encouraging home-based health-promoting activities:
- Aerobic exercise
- Strength training
- Anti-cancer diet
- Relaxation and stress reduction techniques
- Relationship and connection teaching
The program includes weekly teaching videos including a cooking class, and other essential health-promoting skills, and a biweekly videoconference for interested participants. We will teach you the science on how to form healthy habits and let go of unhealthy ones. Click play on the introductory video below to learn more about this program.
Cancer PEP is ideal for anyone scheduled for, undergoing, or recovering from cancer treatment of any type or stage, diagnosed at any time. Family members and loved ones are encouraged to join along.
The program is now open for recruitment, and is scheduled to start December 18, 2022. Recruitment will continue until the maximum number of patients for the trial is reached. For now you can only join this program only if you go on the research trial.
